Traditionally, for the twelfth year in a row, at the end of December, American multimedia artist Anna Frants presents her new project from the “Phantom Dreams” series to the cultural community of Saint Petersburg in the halls of the gallery. The project was realized in collaboration with the Cyland MediaArt Lab (Cyland MediaArt Lab).

*Dissident (Latin dissidens, “disagreeing”), also known as a free thinker — a person who advocates views that radically differ from the generally accepted ones. Often, this conflict of personal beliefs with the dominant doctrine leads to persecution and repression by official authorities.

The work is dedicated to the memory of Anna Frants’ father, Alexander Solomonovich Pinsker (1937-2017), who was forced to leave the Soviet Union in 1974 for political reasons.
