Anna Frantz’s Personal Exhibition “TEMPEST IN A TEAPOT” at RSUH

On February 19, 2015, in the exhibition hall of the Museum Center of RSUH, the exhibition ‘Tempest in a Teapot’ by Anna Frantz opened, featuring works from different years.

Anna Frantz is an artist and curator actively developing international new media art. She is the co-founder of the medialab CYLAND, which hosts an annual festival of media art at renowned art venues in Saint Petersburg. She participates in and curates art exhibitions in the USA and Russia, teaches media disciplines and animation, and publishes articles on art.

Anna was born in Saint Petersburg, graduated from the Mukhina Academy of Arts with a classical education, and then expanded her interests to new areas such as computer graphics and animation.

Anna Frantz’s interactive installations have been displayed at the Saint Petersburg Biennale, Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art, Polish Biennale, Museum of Contemporary Art KuoseinoSato (Fukuoka, Japan), Museum of Art and Design (New York, USA), the State Hermitage (Saint Petersburg, Russia), Chelsea Art Museum (New York, USA), RSProjects (Berlin, Germany), at VAP/Gogolfest (Kiev, Ukraine) and Transmediale (Berlin, Germany), among others.

The artist has received awards for the best three-dimensional computer animation at prestigious computer graphics competitions (e.g., AutoDesk Planet Studio Award). Her works are in the Museum of Art and Design in New York and in private collections.

Friends and colleagues congratulated the author at the opening of the exhibition.
