This time, the halls of the Borey Gallery will represent a single installation, where viewers can control visual images, sounds, words, and virtual actions of the external matrix, creating their own story.
At first glance reminiscent of “The End” or “Mad Max,” this multimedia environment is not so much a scene from a bleak future as it is an intimate setting provided for poetic reflection on the sense of one’s own “self.”
Birds chirp, faces in video recordings converse, playful toys hiss and whirl, outlines of familiar objects emerge from the darkness — all of them have brand names under which they are sold or by which they are known as characters in Anna Frants’ theatrical production and beyond.
This installation is flexible, changing from place to place and from country to country, and in each new incarnation, local materials are used.
